Knox Grammar School, with it’s great reputation and standing in the community, has had a close connection with the local Special Olympics program for a number of years and has become a driving force in the growth of the Special Olympics Kuringgai Chase Fun Run.

The Special Olympics Kuringgai Chase Fun Run are about showcasing great connections in our community and Knox Grammar have got behind this event from the start providing ideas, facilities and direct involvement on the organising committee.

Such is the impact of the Knox Buddies, who run or walk with our athletes, our logo stylises the “blue” Knox Buddy with an athlete, arms in the air in friendship and joy. Each year, over 150 Knox Buddies, teachers and staff volunteered for the event.

From our very first meeting the team at Ku-ring-gai Council has been incredibly supportive and encouraging in taking the Special Olympics Kuringgai Chase Fun Run from an idea to a reality – it feels like the whole KMC team is behind us!

The Ku-ring-gai Council team have made introductions, provided advice & guidance and generally helped us “make it happen”.

We thank them for the continued support.
